Dearest, Darling Daughter; how's my honey this A.M.? (do you like corn?)
Your most welcome letter and card came-just got them yesterday. Thank you, from all of us, for your sweet thoughts and cute valentines.
Sounds to me like you are about done-in-or sick.? Come-on tell Mommie all.
What is your new class, this quarter? Sounds like the harmony class is interesting. Did you get thru the snow, Friday morning.
But you don't beat me up anymore! We have breakfast at 4:50 A.M. My lazy days are over-rather, I should say, my morning naps are over; I'm up until eleven, man, getting up is terrific. And we had to have sandwiches, hot chocolate with ice cream, and and cookies, after we came from church-so, it was 11:25 when I went to bed. Barry had Dad trim his hair, so they were up as late as I. Cheryl Ann didn't go to bed much before. So, Barry didn't go to chore until 6:45-he will sure have to hurry this morning. I had to pull Cheryl Ann out, put her slippers on start her-but she flopped, on your bed.
I took her part way downstairs. I made her bed so she couldn't get in again, as she did one morning.
Your parents are getting on more ways than one.
We even forgot to pay the power-bill; so Dad gave Alice a check last nite so she could take it in this morning. Dad says he gets more done, when we eat early-but still does chores all day. I manage to get a better meal, at noon, than at two or two-thirty and get the dishes done before time to get supper for the kids.
We got another new calf the other nite; but sold it the next morning for thirty dollars. It was a bull calf. The one month old calf isn't doing to well-Dad got more medicine for it yesterday, hope it helps. The others are doing all right-they are in the 'gawky' 'rough' stages and aren't very pretty at present. Pot-bellies, oh me. But,they are always so at that age.
The cows are about as ornery as ever-and Butch is no help anymore-more of an aggravation. He sure hates to go out.
The horses have it all to themselves, in the lower pasture. They have long hair, and fat as ever.
Gertie is destructive-she wrecked the doors of the stable. So, she goes 'out'now. Dad fixed the doors, with her on the outside. She is so funny. She grumbles and scolds while Barry feeds the calves.
The boys have won all their games so far! They are a bit worried about Thursday's game-play Missoula 2nd and they are rough. We want to go down-but game time is 7:30. I told Dad he'd have to start to mlk at 3:30. Sure hope they win and get the suits. Then they will be in the Tri-Stake conference.
Ruby Anderson was out to meeting last nite; she says she just has to get out once in awhile even tho miserable.
Ella Mae had her boyfriend (one of them) to church. Do you know the Faust twins from Missoula? And Beverly was with the other one-she acted so bashful and funny.
Just had a card from Mom, last week; she doesn't write so often anymore.
Darn-bought this new tablet-thought it was lined, I looked, the first page was; some deal.
Had a letter from Rosie. They are all well. Did you know Ron and Dawn have a boy.?
I wrote to Aunt Laura, but find she is in Salt Lake. Gwen has been in the hospital. All relatives are hearing, unexpectedly from me-genealogy, pictures. !!!We had 100% attendance at class, yesterday. Even Tom was there. Hope he will coutinue, makes an even dozen with myself.
We had a chinook wind Saturday, taking much of the snow. We are all well-have to quit now.
Love Mom
