Wednesday AM
Dear Zelda:
How is my gal this morning?
The birthday card came, it is so cute. WE are still eating Kosher pickles. Thank you so very much.
WE are concerned about you're being at home--I mean,we do so hope you are truly feeling better! Sounds like the flu bug is down that way too.
Will you apologize to the new roomie, or explain, "cause I didn't know her name when I sent the little box. I hope she won't be embarrassed by it all. I wondered if she would feel worse if I hadn't sent her a hanky too, or--anyway, I 'did it!"
Let's see now--
Barry said he had to be a school in the afternoon, Monday, anyway. I told you, I think, he hadn't come in to get ready for the buys. And that Cheryl Ann had missed the bus too. So Dad said we would take them down and then go to see if we could find some pastures, some seed, and some hay to put up. The kids went to Grandma's to lunch then to school. We went to Ronan: we found the seed, but no hay or pasture. So I don't think we will break anymore of the ground here.
When we were coming in, Chocolate was lying down, and I said, "Chocolate has milk fever." Dad was so upset. He hurried out and called in a few minutes to get a vet out as soon as possible. Barry had taken her calf in, so she doesn't know where it is. Yes, she is all right. Doc Read came out, and gave her a shot, no two shots of stimulants, then a shot of calcium and she got up. He said she may have a recurrence of it, as sometimes they do, having it so soon after they have a calf. So far she is alright.
Yesterday, I took Cheryl Ann to the Doctor. She hasn't felt really well for a month. She acted a lot like she did when she had the spell of heart leakage. And she may have had some stomach flu. So I took her in to be sure. Doctor couldn't detect any heart murmur. But he gave her some tiny white pills to take three a day , in hopes she will gain some weight, and sleep better. We had to wait an hour for the results of one test, so went to Grandmas, and she fixed her some lunch. I talked to her teacher, so if I had to keep her out of school she would know there was a reason.
I came home to get dinner for Dad and me. Then I went out to help him fix fence, but it turned out that I just tagged him around, mostly.
The kids went to Mutual, or Cheryl Ann did, Barry went to an FFA meeting.
This morning it was a most beautiful morning, at 4:30. Now it is cloudy. I wish it would be warmer at nite and have the sun shine in the day, we need it.
I stopped to see if Mr. Moffit could come to help Dad make fence, it is too hard for him to swing the post mall.
He, do you like those sox I sent, the ones with the big tip. If you do I'll maybe can get some more. They were on sale, and I have another pair that was sposed to be with those, tow pair for $1. Only I thot they were two pair together, until I looked in the paper and realized I only had on pair.
Well, the kids are about ready to go. So, Mother had better to to
Love to my sweet gal, Mom
